Q. Why should I use VidSwitcher?
A. VidSwitcher allows you to utilize the valuable space on your website. Most websites these days have embedded video on them. Currently, the video just plays and provides the user with content. VidSwitcher allows the site owner to have the video switch to 1 of 5 different boxes. These boxes can contain text ads, banners, coupons, opt in boxes and documents. The advantage of this is that your offer is presented to the person while you have their full attention. This means that they will be more likely to click on an ad, see your banner ad, print your coupon, sign up for your newsletter or cut and paste documents that you want them to have. Q. What video sites is VidSwitcher compatible with?
A. Right now VidSwitcher only supports videos from YouTube. We are working on it being compatible with more services.
Q. Is vidSwitcher part of YouTube?
A. No. VidSwitcher is in no way part of or owned by YouTube.
Q. Will VidSwitcher work with my own hosted videos that I have embedded on my site?
A. No. At present you have to use a video service to host your videos. Currently, VidSwitcher is only compatible with YouTube videos.
Q. What is an embedded video?
A. An embedded video is a video that is on another website like YouTube etc. and you have placed the code for this video on your site so the viewer can watch it directly from your website instead of having to watch it on sites like YouTube.
Q. Is VidSwitcher simple to use?
A. We recognize that not all people are web savvy. Because of this we made VidSwitcher very simple to use. If you would like your videos to switch to text ads from Google, Yahoo etc. then all you need to do is paste the code for the video and your ad code into the fields we have provided and hit the "generate" button to create your new code. If you want your video to switch to banners or coupons then you are going to have to have some graphic ability. If you are wanting to switch your video to an opt in box then you will need the code from your autoresponder service. Finally, if you would like your video to switch to a document then you would, of course, need to cut and paste your document into the field we provide. It really is that simple.
Q. Do you offer graphic services for people who do not know how to design banners or coupons?
A. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer services like this. If you are in need of graphics you can find other ads that you like on other websites and use them for inspiration, or you can hire a professional to create the graphics you need for a very reasonable price. Just do a web search and you will find a ton of designers that can help you.
Q. Does VidSwitcher support widescreen videos?
A. At present, VidSwitcher supports videos that are a maximum of 425 pixels wide. In the future it will support videos of all sizes.
